Wich's Tower -South Gate

Located on the southern edge of the regional vineyards and famous for its Grand Cru Rangen, the town of Thann is the South Gate to the Alsace Wine Route. This prestigious Route runs through the region between the plain and the mountains for more than 170km to Marlenheim in the north, hugging the Vosges foothills.

On the edge of the Thur, and in front of the "Tour des Sorcières" (Witches'Tower), there is also an illustration of the original topic depicted : the geology and territory of the Alsace vineyards.

In the "Tour des Sorcières", tower of the ancient town fortifications of 1411, there is a museologic space. The wine-making cellar of Charles Hippler has been partially reconstructed to display the work of the wine growers.

Open everyday during the summer, free entrance, further information at the tourist office.
